                                      This Sunday in our church:

                                      January 29, 2012

                                      Fourth Sunday After Epiphany

Hand in hand with compassion, humility strengthens our yearning for right relation and allows us at least to glimpse one another, however fleetingly, through the eyes of God.

’And they all murmured, ‘Jesus has gone in to be the guest of a man who is a sinner.’
                                      Luke 19:7

                                      Sermon Theme

For faith to be active in love, we need to meet the “Living Jesus,” not some relic from the distant past. During Epiphany I will try to help us capture a glimpse of Jesus through the experiences of some of those to whom he ministered. Jesus’ power transformed them and it can transform us as well.  This morning we focus on one kind of experience: Exalting Humility.
